Kershaw wins #20

Kershaw wins #20, originally uploaded by Robbie.

Though the decisive moment is perfect here in this photo, I actually like the effects put into place on this photograph. Sports photos don’t usually lend themselves to dramatic editing effects, but this one seems to work.

Note the photographer information under the image. This is a photo I found in the Flickr pool “Dodgers” while trying to find a group to join.

Josh Balduf Reblog

Josh, I love what you have to say here. It’s something all professional photographers struggle with. This is a good example of how a photographer is not his equipment. (And an example of a photographer that doesn’t care to learn his craft.)

Here is the link. Be sure to add him to your Reader list, as he posts tutorials and a lot of his work.

Josh and I went to school together at the the University of North Florida. He graduated a year ahead of me, but we had many classes together. We are both very tech-savvy photographers that are emerging into the professional world and have bonded through our similar photographic styles. He currently lives in New York City.

Tumblr People

Tumblr is all about image blogging. Hey, I like that. It’s what I do. Though WordPress is quite nice, especially since I can host it on my own servers.

That aside, I like the idea of a Tumblr and blogging about images, pictures, graphics. Here’s one of a friend of mine who is a talented model (and maybe an up-and-coming photographer as well?).

Please send me your Tumblr as well either in the comments here or on Facebook. I want a whole slew of these.

ALL CALL FOR A BLOGROLL

Sorry, no photograph in this post.

If you have a blog, know of a cool blog, know a friend who knows of a cool blog, or WHATEVER, post a link to it in the comments. I’d like to start networking my blog site, and thus my photo work, more so other people can read it. So, the first step would be finding some people and put links on our pages. I’ll add the link (if I think it’s worth reading) to my blogroll section to the right, hoping they’ll do something similar. Maybe I’ll even post about it like I did HERE!

Stormtroopers

The Rebels' new weapon

This guy’s photos are absolutely incredible and HILARIOUS. If you’re a Star Wars fan, or a photography fan, or a hilarity fan, go look. It’s a little inspiring too.
