Wedding Dance
This is the first image that you are see when you visit my newly updated Portfolio Website. Choosing a photo for this responsibility is always a touch choice. I decided on this one on account that it is a hybrid between two of my styles and main avenues of photography.
First, it’s a wedding photo. I’ve photographed a lot of weddings and consider it to be an important aspect of my photography (though I’ve been lacking in the past year or two), along with portraits. But, it’s not a commercial image; I wasn’t hired to take this photo, which would represent my enjoyment of photographing these events, whether I was paid or not. This was done at a friend’s wedding where I just brought my camera and a 50mm lens. So I had some fun with it. It’s also not my typical clean, sharp photograph like many others in my portfolio. It’s a little bit like my MobileSquare Gallery (see website), but I believe it would still satisfy a client.
Now that the portfolio is live, I’m also launching an Artist Page on Facebook. Many of my friends are reading this (and hopefully a few people I don’t know), and I’d like you to “Like” the page so you can follow any professional and artist work that I feel to link and post.
